Other colours include but are not limited to; black, blue, blue brindle, blue fawn, blue pied, blue sable, chocolate, chocolate pied, red (which may sometimes be passed as fawn), sable (which may also be passed as fawn), cream, lilac, black and tan, blue and tan, and variations of the above.

Personality, characteristics and temperament
French Bulldogs make fantastic watchdogs, they are very loyal and loving to their owners yet will stand their ground with unfamiliar people and strangers. Frenchies will only bark if given a reason, but are otherwise rather quiet. Though they are robust and solid, Frenchies are very gentle and great with children. French Bulldogs are said by many, to be very clown-like, with all round personality and character - in saying so, Frenchies are a calm and relaxed dog that suits many family and apartment lives.
French Bulldogs will struggle in heat and warmer weather, and must not be over-excercised (if at all in extreme temperatures), as breathing difficulties can arise. Shelter and fresh, cool water must be accessible at all times, indoors in air conditioning is best - and they won't mind if you leave the TV on either!
French Bulldogs are sociable companions, who enjoy being by your side at any given moment. Early training and socialisation, will allow your dog to be settled and adjusted. Frenchies make excellent house dogs, and take pride in their family and the attention they receive. French Bulldogs are expressive and charismatic, full of charm and will provide you with a life time of joy, love and entertainment.
Grooming your French Bulldog
Grooming for Frenchies is basic and minimal, a brief brush may be beneficial during the shedding seasons, though French Bulldogs are not a heavy shedder. A soft, clean cloth used to wipe over the face and in-between wrinkles of facial folds is a must. Bathing should not be done more than once a month, as this can cause skin irritations - though the coat rarely needs washing in the cooler months.
Training your French Bulldog
Attentive and willing to please, French Bulldogs make an excellent student. Keep training sessions simple, fun and sweet, and you will have great success. Heavy handed training will not benefit your French Bulldog. Food rewards and positive reinforcement will go far.
